How To Remove Preinstalled Software With AdwCleaner.

#Step 1

When Scanning gets completed, you can see the ‘Scan Results’ area. The first page lists ‘PUPs and Adware’. If you have any on your PC, tick all the checkboxes and click on ‘Quarantine’ and then click on continue. After the cleaning process is complete you have to restart the computer.

Click on View Log File for the complete detail of the cleaning process to take place.

Managing your Chrome extensions is not so big deal as there is a fairly straightforward menu for this in Chrome browser, but you can make it even quicker and easier by adding a button to the toolbar.

Install and Add Chrome Extension.

Before going through these settings let us learn how to install and add an extension to your Chrome browser. Open your Chrome browser and open the Chrome Web Store. Now search for the extension you want to add.

Select the Extension and click ‘Add to Chrome’. Some of the extensions required certain permissions or data, check it before and click 'add extension'.

Note: You cannot add extensions when you are browsing in Incognito mode.     

Manage Google Chrome Extensions.

To manage all your Chrome browser by using the default menu or you can add a button to the toolbar which is a quicker and easier way to manage Chrome Extensions.

Open chrome://flags, enable 'Extensions Toolbar Menu' and relaunch Chrome.

The new toolbar icon looks like a jigsaw piece and opens a new menu when you click it. From here you can enable or disable extensions and go to the extensions manager.

The Extensions Toolbar Menu button lists every extension that’s enabled in your browser, and clicking the three dots beside each one opens a menu for that extension. One option lets you unpin the extension from the toolbar.

This removes the toolbar icon but leaves the extension running, so it’s a good way to clean up the browser interface if it starts getting cluttered.

The new menu also running but hidden, and you can add their icon to the toolbar. It’s a good way to find out if you have any hidden extensions running in your browser.  

How To Enable Reader Mode in Google Chrome.

Before going through the settings, make sure that you are on the latest version of your Chrome browser version 80. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner to open the Chrome menu, move to ‘Help’ in the menu, and click on ‘About Google Chrome.

Enable Google Chrome Reader Mode.

Once the update is finished, Go to chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode and look for Enable Reader Mode.

It’s disabled by default, open the drop-down menu and select the ‘Enable’ option, and relaunch Chrome. After relaunching Chrome, it will add a ‘Toggle Distilled page contents’ option to the menu.

When you want to read an article on the web, open Chrome’s menu and click ‘Toggle Distilled page contents’ to strip out everything except the text and images. This only works on articles, not home pages forum pages, and so on.

How To Share Your PC’s Hard Drive over Your Network in Windows.

You are working on your laptop in one of your room and while working you need a file which is on another PC in some other room of your home. Pausing the current activity and moving towards that room just to bring that particular file is time is taken and even quite frustrating for anyone.

To avoid those unnecessary jaunts between computers, you can use Windows built-in sharing tools to make the drive or SSD available across your entire home network.

Note: To perform this process of file transferring, the computers must be connected to the same home network.

Note: The PC with the drive you want to share needs to be switched on for another computer to access it.

Share PC’s Hard Drive over your Network.

The process has three simple steps to follow and you will be comfortable to it after one or two use, so let’s start.

#Step 1

Open the PC containing the drive you want to share, click Start type sharing, then press Enter.

In the ‘Advanced sharing settings’ window that opens, make sure ‘Turn on file and printer sharing’ is enabled. 

To share the drive, you’ll need to disable password protection for shared files. Scroll down to All Network and expand this section if needed, then select the ‘Turn off password-protected sharing’ setting and click ‘Save changes’.

#Step 2

Now open File Explorer (Windows key + E) and select This PC. Right-click the drive you want to share and select ‘Give access to’ then ‘Advanced sharing’.

Click the Advanced Sharing button, then tick the ‘Share this folder’ box in the window that opens. Enter a suitable name under ‘share name’ (ex: Study Desktop), then Click OK.

#Step 3

On one of your other PCs, open File Explorer, click Network, then double-click the name of the PC with the shared drive and you should see its drive listed.

Right-click it and select ‘Map network drive’, change the drive letter if you want, then Click Finish.

This is a great way to quickly share a drive across the network but for this, you have to keep your system on all time.

How To Disable Media AutoPlay in Microsoft Edge Browser.

Whenever you try to visit some media or news website, they welcome you with an auto-playing video or audio which you cannot skip at least up to a few seconds. Some times this auto-playing media can make you feel bad if you are working in some places.

However, most of the web browser has some settings to control auto-playing audio and video on sites. 

Microsoft Edge Browser also has a similar feature by which you can control audio and video which start playing automatically on sites. Now the question is how to do this?

Turn Off Auto-Playing Media in Microsoft Edge Browser.

The entire process is divided into two steps, in step one you have Enable block option for autoplay settings, and in the second step you have to turn off auto-playing media through settings. To do so-

#Step 01

1. Open your Edge Browser and type the given URL in the search bar and press Enter.

2. Enable the first option “Show block option in autoplay settings" and Restart the Edge Browser.

#Step 02

1. Open your Edge browser and select “Settings and more” from the top right corner. From there, click on “Settings”.

2. From the left panel, select “Site permissions”.

3. Inside Site permissions, scroll down to the bottom and select “Media autoplay”.

4. In Media autoplay section, you will get an option “control audio and video play automatically on sites”. Click on the drop-down menu on the right and select “Block”.

By blocking this feature, the media that play sound will be blocked automatically and the changes will be applied to new tabs.

Note: If you are using the previous version of Edge browser, then you don’t have to perform the first step because the block option is already there.
