WhatsApp Dark mode is now available for Android and iPhone use after a long wait of one
year. It has been in testing mode for the last year and its first look was
spotted several months back. WhatsApp took a long time to implement dark mode
and now users can download the WhatsApp messenger update from the Google Play
Store and Apple App Store to access the new feature.
If you are
an Android 10 or iOS 13 device then you can enable WhatsApp dark mode through
system settings. And if you set the dark mode on your device then WhatsApp will
automatically enable the dark mode.
In a blog
post, Whatsapp wrote: “Dark
mode for WhatsApp offers a fresh look at a familiar experience. It’s designed
to reduce eye strain in low light environments. And we hope it helps prevent
those awkward moments where your phone lights up the room."
WhatsApp dark mode gives users an
option that minimizes eye fatigue, as opposed to a brighter background. The
feature is especially helpful in low light environments. The dark mode is not
purely dark in shade for Android and iOS, it has a dark grey shade. WhatsApp
has spent much time on choosing the proper dark shade for the dark mode
feature.
